Hydrogen Research Forum Finland: Annual Seminar 2025
30.10.2025
Hydrogen Research Forum Finland: Annual Seminar 2025 was held this week in Tampere, and JustH2Transit was there!
The Annual Seminar of H2FINLAND once again brought together leading experts from academia, research, and industry to discuss a broad spectrum of hydrogen-related topics.
In our poster at the seminar, we highlighted the themes, objectives, and research results of the JustH2Transit project based on our newsletter. Systemic issues, social impacts, and local acceptance of the hydrogen transition sparked lively discussion. Many insightful ideas were also shared on the role of research data in decision-making and the popularization of information.
In addition, two of our researchers gave presentations during the seminar. Olli Himanen (VTT) discussed the latest advances in electrolysis research in his presentation "Electrolyser Technologies: Recent Advances and Emerging Directions." Antonio Caló (University of Oulu) presented perspectives on small modular nuclear reactors in his presentation “Small Modular Nuclear Reactors as the Hidden Link: Powering Data Centers to Support Renewable Hydrogen Deployment in Finland.”

Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research is key to a comprehensive understanding of the hydrogen transition. The seminar offered new perspectives, interesting discussion topics, and important encounters, which we look forward to continuing!
